Mulheim - Injury
25 Sep 2018

Injury. In the middle of the night, Yoges started to feel the pain in her left knee and calf ligament. The next morning, we requested our host to help us to drive to an orthopaedic surgeon to have it examined and get some treatment. An X-ray was carried out and fortunately, there were no cracks or broken bones. The ligament behind the calf had a little twist and a painkiller was administered.

Wonderful Host

At the clinic, the host suddenly told us that he was going off and leaving us behind in the clinic. However, a short while later he returned with breakfast for both of us. It was an unbelievable feeling and what a wonderful host he was. Finally, when the Doctor's bill was issued, he was more than obliged to pay for us although he hardly knew us. Of course, we did not let him pay. Such a wonderful human we met who were so kind and had a lot of trust in us. He later drove us back to his and we had to extend our stay for another day. With Yoges resting, I cycled out to buy some food for the evening from the local restaurant. By the end of the day, Yoges was feeling a lot better and the pain was subsiding. For a moment we thought that we had to end our cycling trip here.
